My name is Keith Van Zile and I'm the guy behind this deck restoration business. I'm in the pressure-washing business - or 'powerwashing' as it's known in Michigan. I use pressure washers as the main tool in my business - however, the real service provided is the application of a new finish. But I really do enjoy pressure-washing. It's very satisfying to turn a worn and dirty deck into a clean and beautiful structure. It's very.... tangible.

My background is actually from the computer business. I spent the 1980's out in Silicon Valley after graduating from Western Michigan University. I'm an entrepreneur at heart and those were exciting times with fast-growing companies. After 10 years of that, I came back to Michigan and soon recognized the emerging market of deck restoration. Nearly all the decks I did back then had never had anything done to them and I learned a lot about pressure washing before any chemicals were in common use.

My mission is to keep learning about the best practices and techniques for deck restoration and to pass them along.
